Yesterday was really cool, I finally got to wear my ninja suit in public (boots included). For obvious reasons, I didn't wear my mask, wish I did though (what's a ninja without the mask?). So yeah, I walked out of my home in my ninja suit, took the bus to Bukit Batok to take another bus to Bukit Gombak. Surprisingly, I wasn't noticed by anyone.Reminded me of the time I took a bus to school in Japan with my previous ninja suit (mask on), nobody cared.
I bought loads of sparklers to burn, unfortunately we only got to burn about a fifth of the stuff. Heck, seeing 30+ sparklers bundled up together and being flamed at the same time once was good enough for me. It reminded me of the good old days, when Zhong Qi, Kay Hian and I would go around burning lanterns only to get scolded by our parents. How I miss Springwood and the gang, how I wish I had not moved away. Moving, stupid word. *sticks out tongue*
Anyway, we were burning sticks at Little Guilin (spelling???), you know... that little "mountain thingy" near Bukit Gombak MRT. Lots of weird things happened there. Ok FINE, only one weird thing, sort of. While we were happily burning our stuff, we heard this voice. As if someone was singing at the other end of the place. Initially we thought it was a few young people that were just trying to annoy us. After walking all the way to the end of the park with Gladys and Eli, we found out that it was actually a middle-aged woman that was training her voice for some opera or something (couldn't really understand the conversation as it was mostly in Chinese). The woman somehow looks like Segata Sanshirou, the die-hard Sega Saturn "otoko", perhaps its the trees and the fact that she was training.
After that rather fascinating discovery, we went back to find Kenneth who was guarding all of our stuff, (actually its mostly my stuff; that retarded lantern and my explosives). With nothing else to do, we sat down and passed scary stories around. Still can't believe I fell for Eli's cruel idea of a joke, I jumped backwards like how a cowardly cat would do to defend itself. Yes, I'm a coward, not exactly proud of it. For the rest of the night, I was rather easily frightened by mostly anything, especially those weird Ju-On-esque faces. At least I made a few people laugh through my cowardice.
"Soon", the others came back with Limin whom they had to go fetch from her place, which isn't too far from Gladys' place. It was already kind of late, so I headed home with Kenneth and Eli. Why o why won't my mum ever let me stay over at other people's places even when there's adult supervision =_=? O well, had a nice bus ride home.
Oh, almost forgot, Ninja boots are meant for forests and castles, two things that are not really common in Singapore, thus I shall not wear them anymore in public. Argh, now my leg's killing me. That's mostly what I wanted to say, everything else can't really be said here. Till next time then.
